We regret to inform you that due to the current economic conditions we are forced to indefinitely suspend the FileFront site operations on March 30, 2009. If you have uploaded files, images or posted blogs, or if you would like to download some of your favorite files, please take this opportunity to download them before March 30th when the site will be suspended.

We would like to give a warm thank you to all of you who have been part of the FileFront communities we have built together. Your support has had a meaningful impact for all of us here at FileFront. Again, we want to give you a sincere “thank you” for your support over the years and wish you all the very best.

Keep gaming alive,

FileFront Management and Team.

It was good while it lasted. I suggest that people download the stuff they have on there

Jason,
this is exactly why I'm setting up 3mension.com for game art. I can imagine many forum posts will lead eventually to files hosted on filefront, and due to this, they will have vanished.

Granted, I'm way behind on development on 3mension.com, which is to become a site that lets artists show off their 3D game models (low to mid poly), and that also lets game developers find models and artists. I changed CMS and it's taking me a bit longer than expected. I'm no web designer, so all this CSS and HTML is rather slow.

I was impressed to see that FileFront isn't overloaded with advertisements all over the place. Some file share/download services make you search for the link for the download in between all the ads, but not FF. Let's see what will happen in the near future (Bittorrent support for very popular files maybe) ;-)

Oh that is such a relief. FF has to be the foremost file hosting solution for game developers in my opinion. It is easy host a file, as someone else no need to search through all the ads that are placed on like CRAPPY FILEPLANET Easy to upload, great filezie limit, and I have never had a problem with them.
