How do you load in a background image, hopefully that would only show up while in front view for example.

Yup thats a simple question. Perhaps you could elaborate, giving some depth to that simplicity?

Going from what you clues you give; if you take Unit#4a and place it in SlotQ9 you will not have accomplished your goal. But sometimes the stuff is in the way of the thing. And dont forget least how to handle your porkcow with respect!

Actually it was a pretty straight forward question, but luckily I figured it out and did not have to rely on smart ass answers like that above me.

The help files were telling me to click on an icon in the right toolbar that wasn't there. But I found it through a different options menu.

yeah! someone thinks my ass is smart!

I was hinting at the fact that you dont give a clue as to what your working with, your question have no continuity. How can you expect someone to offer help when you dont put your question into scope with a subject?

How do you load a background image into...

I think what Caylo was getting at, offensive as it may have been, was that he/she (sorry Caylo) was unsure of what you wanted to load a background image into. Being that this is the artist forum area, it can be assumed that you where refering to a 3d modeler. However, which one?

PS
"...but luckily I figured it out and didn't have to rely on a smart ass answer like the one above me."

LOL!

I was not being offensive at all. Someone got there feelings hurt from what i said, they must be some type of shut in.

Being the art section could be talking about anything related to art, even something INGAME. I see questions like this a few times a week, and the author of the questions dont understand why no one will help there sorry writing skills, lack of comprehension little assets.

@J Sears,

In case no one has given you an answer, if you switch to the view you want (front,back) press the "D" key a menu will come up where you can select the background image.

If I am not mistaken it is view dependent, meaning you can set the background for each view.

Let me know if that is not what you are looking for.
