Marble Blast Code to roll into torque?

by Jim Rowley · in Torque Game Engine · 01/02/2003 (11:48 pm) · 6 replies

Just wondering since I love MarbleBlast and enjoy playing with Torque; how much did the TGE need changing to make MB? There seem to be some C++ changes for things like pathed interiors and maybe physics(?) that would be really cool to have rolled into the engine. Has GG mentioned any of this?

I think they mentioned that they weren't releasing the source... can't remember when.

If I recall correctly from a post by Mark (or was it Jeff?), they will be rolling in changes from MB into TGE.

The major change (Physics), from what I understand will not be rolled in. I think the phrase used was "We do not want a bunch of MB clones running around".

We actually put a bunch of code done in MBU into TSE. The marble physics code, however, won't be released in the near future.
