I haven't heard much lately on what going on with the project and were it is at in the development process. I am hearing alot of mixed things from alot of people thats it buggy and no were ready to make a finishe project for the iphone/ipod.

I am also looking at unity but would like to stick with torque for a iphone dev tool.

Hopefully there is some good news to be heard.

iTGB 1.2 is about to be released. Features include:

- Increased fps
- New editor functionality
- Work flow is a whole lot cleaner, smoother, and easier.

I believe 6 iTGB games from the community have been submitted to the App store, and are getting great reviews.

2 or 3 more are going to be released this month.

Do you have specific questions I might be able to answer?

yes eric it is difficult to start and figure it all out, but there is plenty of people to ask and the forums are great.

unlike most software out there, when they go from one revision to the next they change 1-2 small things. iTGB makes massive leaps between revisions.

the total development time of my game has been only about 40-60 hours part time. That includes a designer for the artwork and sounds. If I started from scratch I think it would take me another 3 months or so.

And if you're interested in games that were developed on iTorque, you can check out the games that are already in the App store here. Most of these games have free demos!

Deborah can you om and see if I can have a trial for the iphone. I'm looking at both itorque and maybe iunity.

You can see I am a loyal customer but before I drop 500.00 I would like to try it out. How soon will 1.2 be avaiable?

@Eric - I do not have a release date for 1.2 yet. I just received the code a few days ago and have been testing it, as well as sending it back to the devs for revision.

I still want to write a few updated docs for it, so it will not be out for at least week.

There's not real way to trial the software without giving away the code all together. If you have any reservations about capabilities, please ask any specific questions you have.
