Blender DTS export

My Blender folder does not contain a scripts folder. I tried placing the python script files into the blender folder where other .py files were but nothing happened. It also says "No installed python found" on the command window for blender.

I downloaded everything i needed to. I ran the install script but it couldn't find the blender folder. I still can't find a folder named scripts so i pasted all the scripts in the Blender folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Blender Foundation\Blender) *Note* I am using Vista. And when i pasted them all, it still didn't appear under one of the formats to export to.

well i don't know hat exporter your using ether must be the newest one as there seems to be a new guy makeing exporters for blender now. i used a old one and it was easy to install and it seems better then the new installation's but you have to use a older version of blender for it. i like this one better as it as a auto set up future for when i export the new version's don't seem to have it anymore. i not using blender anymore anyways i use xsi now.

EDIT: nm I ran it as administrator & now it all works fine. If anybody is having similar problems & are using vista try that trick to fix it.

I am having a similar problem. I have Blender 3D version 2.49b & Python 2.6 installed. I have absolutely no problems with blender itself. I got the blender DTS exporter version 0.964 copied to the same directory that blender was installed. I am using Windows Vista & my blender installation doesn't have a script folder ether, unless I make 1 myself. The DTS Exporter option shows up in the export tab under file, but when I click it I get this error "python script error: check console". Then I check the console & it appears to be trying to initialize the python scripts that make up the exporter & ends with this "IOError: permission denied" What do I do, I have no idea what the problem is? EDIT: nm I ran it as administrator & now it all works fine. If anybody is having similar problems & are using vista try that trick to fix it.
