Exactly what is the problem in providing both online and PDF format? The PDF version is acknowledged to current as of xx date, the online docs are always up to date. Simple.

I have a bad eyesight, so I don't really like online documentation - and I have a habit to print out all documentation in paper.

I've printed few dozen of pages in HTML and found that I'm missing the right edge of every page... :O Its a bad experience to know that all the printing is waste :-/

I would nice to have documentation also to be PDF because its more printer friendly than HTML files :)

@Pisal, You can have doxygen produce rtf output as well, which is just as printer frindly as your average Word document...

I can't say how long I've hoped the documents would be made available offline instead of having to login every time. My vote is for PDF files.

Downloadable PDF is a good idea.. If you want to view it off line. Also there is not 2700+ files Just one.

I would agree with PDF, I do a lot of work from a Laptop, and as such, a easy PDF would be nice and portable.

In just the last week alone, we've had 3 confirmed incidents of piracy of the code base (and those are just the ones where the individuals were blatent enough about it to actually show on the forums that they had pirated the code). As much as it can be frustrating to those that don't work with a full time connection, providing all of the documentation in an easily downloadable (and therefore pirate-vulnerable) just makes it that much easier for total piracy of Torque, and that is something that we are (obviously) trying to avoid.

I'm not saying that it will never happen, but there is a lot more to take into consideration besides "legal" user ease of offline use unfortunately.

Hmm, but with some downloadable document, isn't Digital Rights Management (DRM) a solution? Microsoft seems to be quite fond of that these days. I'm not sure what is possible here, but it might be something to look into.

I toss my vote in for a PDF as I am constantly going back to this documentation due to me beig a newbie.

I understand they're currently leaning towards a Wiki.

It would be great if there is a downloadible zip or PDF file of the online documentation, the various guides.

Generally the internet connection is not reliable where I am or not available every where to be able to view the documentation while working with Torque.

Could you developers help us out with downloable documentation.

Guys...please. Read the posts!

You can generate your own documentation and store it locally in browseable html format.

Look at the information on dOxygen.

Honestly...what part of 1800+ page pdf do you not understand? It is simply unusable.
