Hello!
Allow me to introduce myself, I am Julio, and I am currently taking game and simulation programming in Devry University. I am currently learning TGE 1.5 and TorqueScript to create an action/adventure game similar to a Legend of Zelda, however I was hoping to shift from medievil times to a tropical settings where there are two partners male and female archiologist looking for stolen artifacts from the kingdom of Volcanic Island. Ok I am not Shakespear, but I do hope you get the idea. This is non-paid project, consider it as a serious project to increase skill and if in the event the project show positive fruits we can get to see if we can commercialize the product. Here is a little bit about the action and game design document that I have made so far:
"The game would start off with a cinematic showing the city of Volcanic Island on a smilingly peaceful night. As the view pans out you see ghoulish creatures heading towards the city. It then cuts to a young prince sleeping peacefully. His sleep is interrupted with militant soldier running in screaming, “We are under attack!”
The young prince answers sleepily “Isn’t that what we have guards for,” as he rolls over carelessly.
“Your Highness the guards have already been over run you must come quickly!” the soldier says as he grabs the prince from bed.
The prince is led to a heavily guarded room in the heart of the castle and told to wait there out of harms way. As he waits he hears screams of the living and other unnatural sounds that make him cringe. He thinks of asking about his father and mother but fears the answer he will receive..."
I do hope that anyone that would be interested in learning TGE and TorqueScript would like to join and make several prototypes. If there is any fruits that comes alive towards this project then we could consider in thinking of making a commercial version for release, however I was hoping for beginners and talented experience TGE users alike would appreciate in joining this project.
