Well, we have a couple scriptors, modelers,etc... a but we don't have an eviorment person so we were wondering since there is no genre kit for an RTS on Tgea but we know it is very possible to make an RTS, could we use a different enviorment pack say like FPS for our RTS?
please reply.

But yes, the FPS content can be used in a RTS game, just be aware of the LOD (and overall detail) problem that Andy mentioned.

You can still use the RTS Environment Content for TGE in TGEa. It comes with source art, I think, so there's no problem to re-export if you do find some weird model incompatibility -- but it should work equally well in TGE and TGEa. Just because a content pack doesn't come with material effects doesn't mean it can't be used in TGEa -- those are easily added. At worst you may have to adjust a few sound profiles (Audio -> SFX) and maybe a couple of particle effects. But yes, the FPS content can be used in a RTS game, just be aware of the LOD (and overall detail) problem that Andy mentioned.

Of course with an RTS though you usually have less detailed models than a pack like this would provide because with the God view mode a lot more of the landscape is visible - so you may find that performance becomes a drain depending on how big a view your camera will have.
