If I buy a license do I get all the future updates to that Engine for free?

Also do you have to be a certain age to publish a game or can anyone do it?

In the past, minor updates were free. Major updates such as TGE 1.4 to TGE 1.5 which included the Lighting Kit, Show Tool Pro, and additional "stock" assets costed $50 more. TGE 1.5 has had two updates since and they were free.

TGEa costs more than TGE, and there is an upgrade option from TGE to TGEa. Every update to TGEa has been free, so far.

The next version of Torque, Torque 3D will have a price increase -- how much hasn't been disclosed yet. It's possible there might be an upgrade path from TGEa to Torque 3d also, we just don't know yet.

If you own a license then age shouldn't be a problem in regards to publishing a game, although different regions/countries might have differing laws governing minimal age for income.

In Australia the minimum age of income is 15 years old and in USA I heard it was 14 and 9 months, I think.

Minimum age is 13 for part time work, if your talking about full time you need to be 16.
