Another MAC Torquer Here

by Michael Hense · in Torque Game Engine · 12/24/2002 (9:15 am) · 6 replies

I am finally buckling down and trying to learn the ins and outs of the Torque Engine...

... on both my Windows machine as well as my iMac (OS10.1, 350mHz,256mb).

It took me about three hours, but I finally got an ambient animation (flag waving and a lil Oil Drill thing I made up in Milkshape) running on the PC...

... then i copied over the code and the .dts files to the Mac, and it also worked fine.

I know that I'm just getting my feet wet, but so far, this cross platform thing looks like it may work :)

Anyway, that's all I've done so far... but I'll be visiting the MAC area very often to keep track of the happenings...

Hey, what editor is everyone using ?

Project Builder here. It's free, and the Dec. dev tools are really nice.

That and it's free. :)

And the great thing about the latest version of Project Builder is that it works with external editors. Double-click on a file to open it in BBEdit, or even in emacs if you're a lunatic. :)

Any advice on how to get Torque to work in Dec 2002 PB 2.1? Not having the best of luck...

Follow Up: I'm using a pretty recent CVS, and worked perfectly prior to upgrading from July 2002 to Dec 2002. Hardware is a TiBook 667/1GB RAM/ATI M6 Chipset running 10.2.3.

post to the other thread -- I'll help debug what's going on.
