How do i re-position the Chat Hud

Hi, i was wondering how i could reposition/resize the chat hud.

I need to add it to my main GuiControl as a component of the main HUD. However, I have been unable to do this as it keeps popping out into its own guicontrol and reverting to its original position the moment i run the game. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
