Question for a GarageGames Associate

Hello to anyone reading this. I bought TGE back in 06 and have had plenty of fun with it over the years. I was thinking about upgrading to TGEA since it has more documentation and seems to be what's good these days. However, unlike back a few years ago I don't have the money straight up to buy TGEA. It's not that I can't get the money, it's that I would rather make payments of like $50. The upgrade would cost $150. But I was wondering if that was even possible? If I have to I may save up and just get it normally as I would (if my bills don't jump out of nowhere). But it was just a question that jumped into my mind.

Make three payments of $50 to yourself and then after three payments TGEA is yours!

As a quick question, and this may be posted somewhere, but I wasn't able to find anything on search, is TGEA the full $200 something dollars if you are already a TGE owner and want to upgrade or is it at any sort of discount.

I have a separate savings account and $25-50 from each check goes into that for upgrades... You would be surprised how fast it collects up, if you hide it from yourself and don't use it, unless you have an emergency.

that's what i would recommend everyone do is have a savings account and add money from your paycheck once a week to it. i don't see to many people ever saving there money when i think they should. you cant count on these programs that you put money into for when you get old to take are of you for the rest of your life at lest not in my life time. by the time i get old these programs that they have will more then likely be gone for me. i never count on anything i take care of my self not government or anything else like most people do.

i don't even trust banks with my money not after i read a book that all it talks about is bank stuff. its kind of a old book but i know allot of the stuff still apply to how things are done still.

Yeah, I think i'm just gonna save. I actually held 300 dollars in my pocket for a california trip for two weeks before actually depositing it in my checkings. So i'm sure i'll do fine holding money for it.
@J Mills, it's $145 to upgrade from TGE to TGEA. Atleast that's what it says for me when I go to the TGEA age. Should say the same for you aslong as your logged in.

it depends if you did not upgrade tge long time ago when they had a payed upgrade that was $50 then you have to pay $50 more on top of the $145. so basically if you payed $100 for tge then you have to pay what ever amount it takes to get to $295 of what torque costs.

@J Mills: Foestar is correct. If you are logged in under an account that owns TGE (but not TGEA), then when you upgrade to TGEA, the cart will only charge you the difference between the two products, i.e. $145.

And Foestar, just to reiterate, we do not have any way on our website to collect payments in installments. The main reason is the overhead it would cost us to track down people who pay the first installment, but not subsequent ones.

I appear to still be charged the $295, even though I did indeed buy a $100 copy of TGE a few years back. I can understand the $50 on top of the 100, as I dont believe I ever bought a paid upgrade/update, but I dont see any sort of reflection of TGE ownership in shopping cart.

Edit: Torque Game Engine 1.4.2 Download Jan 6, 2005

So thats when I purchased it :p

J. Mills, you would have to pay the difference between the 1.4.2 and 1.5.0 upgrade, Plus the upgrade to tgea. ($295.00)
tge 1.5 included the lighting kit which was a $50.00 upgrade.

Meaning a grandtotal of? Sorry, I know that seems like it should be simple but I am a bit confuzzled. If I am reading it right it would be $295 - 100(tge 1.4.2 i bought) +50 (tge upgrade) totaling $245?

you need to buy tge 1.5 first which was a update years ago. after you have tge 1.5 in your account then put tgea in your account and it will update to $145 for that upgrade instead of $295. you basically have to pay $200 as you never upgraded tge 1.5 years back when it was upgraded.

Thank you sir. I will look into upgrading to 1.5 as soon as I can find some bucks, because I really would like to get TGEA before jumping too far into my current planned project.
