full screen = crash

I have been having never ending problems with TGB as well as other programs I need to use in order to get my school work done. I believe it was vista that was causing the issues so I installed XP on my machine. Now everything runs much better, the only problem is if I try and full screen TGB it crashes. I've downloaded a bunch on driver updates and such to get my laptop working correctly but this seems to by my only issue now. TGB just doesn't look right. Is it the resolution? Is it the drivers still? In the TGB log no errors come up at all. The last 20 lines or so in the console log are all executing c://... no error reports.

Any ideas? TGB has been a real hassle...
