Hi, im a begining programmer taht is looking in to TGE and TGEA, of course Im not a pro coder but i heard it is easy to learn so i could probly learn the language in a few months at most ( im not that noobish with code so im not to overwealmed), here are my 2 questions.
1. Can you use the RTS starter kit with TGEA?
2.If i were to take 3 years to make my RTS and advertise my RTS and it became highly anticipated could i use the RTS starter kit and TGE ( or if i could use TGEA) to make my game and people would not be dissapointed with the games quality and it lived up to expectations, could i do it? even if millions were anticipating it? PS. im not saying i expect it to sell this much but if it is possible why not!

1) RTS Kit is for Torque Game Engine but I am pretty sure it wont be very hard to port it over to TGEA if you have the skills.

2) You could use TGE and RTS kit to make the game no problem, but you cant rely on the RTS kit to help you make the game completely you will have to make big modification to the kit.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

The short answer is yes, Torque can make a game of DoW2 quality - it just depends how much effort you are willing (and able) to put in.

Yeah, i have done some basic scripting with RC mmorpg engine and have posted a help wanted thread looking for 1 scriptor, i knew the engine had a somewhat easy to use and learn scripting language and that is why everyone likes it, because it makes pro games with a easy to learn scritping language ( but i do know it will take some months to master it) and i would like to make a map like spore's civilization stage type of planet theme for my RTS. I also know my questions will be answered fast with the community and all the scripting tutorails and docs. I also have some modelers and animators so get me if im wrong but physics means physical science right? ( i know it does but im wondering if it means something else when you are talking about gamedev)so i will most likely buy a Torque engine so thanks! and know i know where to go and how long it will take to understand the language so we can make a good quality game, thank you so much you 2 guys!

It's the developers who make the game, not the engine. The engine just sits there, waiting to be used ;)
