Constructor bug (mouse is... weird)

by Trevor Harris · in General Discussion · 02/11/2009 (4:26 pm) · 2 replies

Hi,

In Torque Constructor, for some reason, the actual mouse is about 32 pixels higher than the displayed cursor. So for instance, when I start making a box, the upper left hand corner is about 32 pixels above where I clicked.

Specs:
- Vista 32 bit
- AMD Phenom 9600
- 4GB RAM
- ATI HD Radeon 3870 (2 of them, in crossfire)

Hmm, I hate this advice, but have you tried disabling Aero (or desktop compositing) when you run Constructor. Some people have reported that disabling Aero solves the mouse offset problem for them. It's strange advice because I've never experienced this problem (using nVidia graphics), but turning Aero off makes my comp act "weird".

Alright! That seemed to work! I don't have to give up Aero either, all I have to do is just turn on 'Disable desktop composition' in the compatibility options has the same effect.

Thank you so much Mike!
