So I hear that Torque 3D is coming, is anything happening for Torque 2D?

My question is should products be released to support TGB still or should I just work on games till Torque 2D pops up?

I suspect TGB is so far off it would be silly to hold your breath for the next generation. I have a feeling they'll make T2D more compatible with what we're used to than T3D is with TGEA.

My hope is that T2D will more easily allow me to reorder particles, have paths be mountable to paths (as in its nodes actually move), and that it will easily be able to be plugged into T3D without redundant code. Especially the last one...that would make me smile.

What I'm really hoping for is 2D boned IK animation of sprites. Have you guys considered that as a feature / tool?

@Drethon - I regret to inform you that we do not currently have any details to release regarding Torque 2D other than what has already been mentioned in a few other threads.
We will not be discussing any other details until after Torque 3D is released, but no date has been given on when we will be releasing details.
The most that has been announced is that TGB is being renamed to Torque 2D, Melv May and Phillip O'Shea are on the project, documentation is being written from scratch, and the features will make you poop your pants.
How's that?
