info on Shaders!

Is there any good threads/tutorials/info regarding the usage and some examples of all the shaders found in the shaders folder. (TGEA 1.7.1). I seem to be unable to get any of those shaders to work...any thing I make a custommaterial for doesn't seem to work correctly...or at least not like I think it should. I went through the glitter tut in the TDN and never got it working...have tried a few other examples people have gave...no luck...I think I'm setting everything up correctly, I even made my own bare minimum shader that just colors an object, never could get it working...

Also, I would really like a grass shader that looks good...search HLSL grass shader, author is mb...the original shader looks sweet, but I can't get the shader to work(on terrain or dts object), nor does the shader they got working look even close to as nice as the original...does someone have an example of a grass shader that works and looks good...good FPS and such...

Any help or direction would be appreciated!

I used to be obsessed with building my own open-ended RPG and a 3D Side Scroller RPG. But the job/house/girlfriend got in the way. I know, I know. Now I concentrate on doing architectural renderings (with the help of T3D of course) and VBA programming.
