Hi here :-)..

I have install Max9 on my Vista Laptop. Its work perfect also exporting of DTS files, but the LODs doesn’t work for me?
In my “old” Max8 in my old computer I have put a “MultiRes.dlm” in the “stdplugs” map and its work, is that the only thing I shall do? And work the same Multires with Max9? Last. Where can I buy a new brain with a better memory? :-D.

Jan :-).

Sometimes when LOD isn't work i must use program unmessdts.exe. It cleans dts model. It helps many times. Unmessdts is in torque_max_filepack.

Hii again :-)..

@ Chris..

Yes the unmess program do it… I take the result dts-file from my max9 exporter and unmess then in my old computer with Max8 (I can’t figure out how I make the command line ‘run’ to the unmess program in Vista? :-D). But its works..

@ Nmuta

As you can see, I have found a solution (except the “writing form/method” for the run commando in Vista)… I don’t like Vista..

Why not include the unmess function as a standard directly in the exporter?

Regards and thanks for help, Jan :-).

I don't now why but this unmessdts program was writed in 2001(year from console message when program starts). Maybe exporter uses some 'new dts standards with great optymalizations' etc... and engine(i'm working on 1.71..i guess) does't support those new standards. So we must downgrade;) This is only my thinking.

I'm glad that helps:)
