Ummmm... why does it say you need 20+ GB of HDD space?

Seems a little excessive

What are your problems Miguel?

My problem is that it won't initialize or anything I downloaded it properly and unzipped it to my hard drive. The application is on my screen but when I open it I get a blank Dos prompt called "RealWars" And if I close it it says: "Windows cannot shut down this program aoutmatically it is recomended that you exit this program with its quit or exit command." and it's list for what to do but those don't help either any ideas. Sorry about the sluggishness on reply.

Close it anyways (it won't hurt anything), and try again. Once in awhile, I will also get the dos window and nothing else. It's not often, and restarting the game always works.

Use CVS to download reamlwars and recompiled it. The zip file I downloaded unzipped everything to a single directory and gave me same problem you had.

OK let's clear up the basics...

What is your system?

How much memory?

What video card are you using?

Do you have a sound card? What is it?

What Operating System?

That should be enough to get started working on the problem.

Also when you try and start the game it should create a file called console.log - post the contents.

Sounds like it's not initializing correctly. Can't say I know anything about that though.

Usually when things like that happen to me, I just wait a little longer, shut down programs running in the background or go kill a man. I mean, shut down and retry.

I use Window 98 on a Micron PC with an Intel Pentium 1 processor with 5.7 gig left on an 8 gig drive (including the unzipped files from here)the memory card is the same one that the compute came with and a "creative sound blastr 16 plug and play (I think please tell me if this is the wrong driver i'm using)

As a guess I would say you don't have a video card that supports Realm Wars. Look in Device Manager (Right-click on My Computer and choose Properties) and see what is listed for your video card.
