Project Management Tools

I'm looking for some hosted project management tools to use with my new project. Something similar to Daptiv SMB (http://www.eproject.com/solutions/daptiv_smb/index.htm), except without the $1,500 setup fee or $50 per user/per month subscription.

Just something simple to let me coordinate work among my team members, but I don't want to be bothered with setting up a web site, installing software, etc. I don't mind paying, but I'm on a budget.

What project management tools do other teams use?

There is OverLord, that works well, and i have seen several teams that use it across the globe.

hmmm, and its conveniently sold through GarageGames.
I was looking for a hosted service, but now I'm thinking of getting myself one of these mini-servers and forgoing any monthly hosing fees (http://www.excito.com/)

Thanks for the advice though. With so many PM solutions out there its hard to know where to begin - and the last thing you want to do is start off with something and realise half way through a project that you need to switch to something else.

Cheers,
Sam.

We use a modified TRAC system to allow in game viewing of bug tickets and our project management, wiki, etc.

If you don't want to host yourself there is always a solution like Assembla it's not free to use unless you're an open source project but it's a cheap option if you're after not hosting yourself.

Or there's always buying some cheap web hosting - I use Dreamhost who offer huge amounts of space for a low value and very simple click to install options for Subversion, dotProject (Project Management System) and mySql amongst others... for the price I've not seen anyone beat them.

I did end up getting myself a mini server - and am very happy with the flexibility it offers.

I purchased Overlord - its a nice little program and a good buy for the price. Its too bad that development has seemed to stop on this software.
