can't save missions tgea 1.8 mac

I'm an instructor and under my administrator account I can save missions fine, but my students cannot. They hit save and then we check the mission folder but it does not contain the saved mission. We tried saving to Desktop too and it did give an error that file was read-only.
I tried giving them administrator privileges on their accounts but that didn't work either

This sounds like a technical issue with the computer. I have a Mac, too. Ctrl-Click the folder where you are trying to save the missions to, and select Get Info. Make sure they have read & write, and not just read. They must be able to have both. Also, are you checking the correct folder? Try doing a search for the saved file name. Hope this helps.

ya they became read only when i dragged off CD. I downloaded BatChmod, a program for re assigning permissions worked like a charm.
