Houdini exporting

by Chris · in Artist Corner · 01/22/2009 (7:24 pm) · 5 replies

Ok we can't seem to find out how to get houdini to export to torque.

Is there a problem with the license key? Should we have received a license key when we purchased this?

I saw another post on this, so there may be a problem. I thought when I bought mine, I got my lic info from SideFx and the download from GG. The lic key is not on the GG site.

When you have Houdini up it will say Houdini Master HD Non-Commercial in the title bar if you have the Apprentice lic, if it simply says Houdini Master Non-Commercial then you have the standard version.

If you have the lic and just need to know how to export, be sure to watch the video on the GG Houdini page.

How did you get SideFx to send you the license key?

They don't send it to you, you have an account you can login to and get it. This is where you go to manage your lic info.

Also, you might want to post a message on Houdini's site. Being the weekend you might get faster feedback.

Have you started the Lic Admin and checked which lic you have?

Is it the same username and password from my GarageGames account? Because that does not seem to work

Yes the license manager reports the trial one.

Chris,

I was about to respond that ther must be some problem with GG and Houdini as once I ordered I got my confirmation email from Sidefx.

I think your question is answered here:

I would contact GG they are very responsive, but maybe not over the weekend.
