trueSpace scnToDts plugin in the works

FYI, I love TS so I'm hard at work on the TS to DTS plugin. If there is no interest or if someone is already well on this path, please tell me so my time is not wasted.

I have the straight DTS portion almost completed and will work as much as possible towards getting this out the door. I don't have TS6 so all development and testing is being done with TS5.2.

Thoughts, concerns, feedback???

I'm very interested in working on this as well. I have TrueSpace 4.3 and obviously, that would be my primary version of interest. If you have beta sources of the plugin and don't mind sharing them, I can try adapting them for 4.3 and try them out.

That would be great. Since I don't have 4.3, I can't really test against it.

I plan on releasing all of the source and hopefully, GG will put it in their source tree for Torque, much like the MS or Max exporters. Once I get it whipped into shape that is.

My 2 bits: Awesome! One of the artists I work with uses and adores TS... It would be great if he could use that and not Max. Keep going ;)

Ya i just want to stress my Desire to have this exporter...it would be more valueable to us Torque freaks as id much rather pay 99-199 bucks for TS4.3 then 3000 bucks for 3dsm.

And to the poster that offerd to develop for TS 4.3 i hope you post the exporter on this site...please please please. heh

Yep, let me know if you need any ehlp on this man. I need something cheaper than max. I simply cannot afford max.

Sounds promising.. drop me a line if you have any questions about exporting - I've written a lot of trueSpace export stuff for different renderers, although ironically I didn't write any exporters while I worked at Caligari =)

It's too bad, Simon, because you're a good coder and they could have used a better .3ds export ;) If I get the Edge Extrude working without crashing tS I'll through one together for my gameTools plugin maybe...

I do have to say that having Edge Turn in tS rocks, lol!
