Rainy Day animation issues

I'm trying to get my feet wet in the world of programming games and am working my way through the tutorials. I'm currently on the Rainy Day tutorial and when i get to the point in which you are to animate the flower image i click on "Create a new animation" it doesn't have the flower sprite as an option. the list is completely empty.

Any thoughts? I'm running it on a PowerBook G4 running 10.5.6

I'm tempted to try installing an older version of TGB to see if it is something goofy in the newest version, but i figured i would see if anyone had an answer for me.

Hi,

Have you created an ImageMap?

The icon on the 2nd left to the animation icon should be "create Image Map" Click this.

Now find the image for the flower.

Once you load it in you will need to change the type in the drop down to cell and then put in the correct size.

Save this and now you should see it in when you click create animation.

Yeah, I have done that. It is in the TGB. I have changed things to cell, made it 6 x 3 and saved it. Everything works accordingly up until that point. However, after that point it just won't show up in the "create new animation" window.

I have erased the game's folder and started from scratch two or three times, so I know it isn't an error in the game's directory.

I have also discovered another issue... I decided to continue on and see how far I could get before the animation became an issue. When I click on the cloud (or any image for that matter) the button for "Edit Image Link Points" doesn't work. Clicking on it does nothing. After discovering that, the "edit this object's collision polygon" does the exact same things. All of the other "quick edit" buttons are perfectly functional.

Sorry to add to my list of issues, but I don't think they are user error..

Okay, thanks for the help. I decided to just uninstall the program and try reinstalling it. I think the expired demo is causing some slight issues, but after digging through my Library folder and locating something related to TGB it seems to be working properly now.

The flower now appears in the "create new animation" window and the buttons for "Edit Image Link Points" now functions like it should.

Thanks for trying to help Martyn. Greatly appreciated.

Hi David

Not a problem - I'm glad that it is all sorted :)

Like you said its possible that the expired demo could have been conflicting.
