Compile source code

by Joao Caxaria · in Torque Game Builder · 01/15/2009 (10:27 am) · 5 replies

Guys,

I'm trying to compile the source code but, from an unchanged version, I just get about 10k errors. Nothing I couldn't figure out with a couple of decades to spare but I'll try the easy route:

I know there were instructions on how to properly setup the dev machine to be able to compile the code but right now, with the site half down, they are nowhere to be found...

If someone has a offline copy (I'm looking at you, GarageGames employee) of both the Mac and Windows setup process, I would praise your good deeds forever!

Thanks!

Here's some forum threads on the topic. I've converted them to the new format:

I'd post the link to the TDN page, but it appears that TDN is mostly gone. Does anyone know where it went?

It's currently AWOL until they get it hooked up to the new site. Think they said they would have TDN up by next week.

TDN is having some issues with the new site due to a link login. It is being worked on :)

Thanks for posting some very helpful links Wenceslao.

No problem. I also want to add that opening the .net version of the solution file caused problems for me and upgrading the VisualStudio 2005 solution worked out for me. Make sure you have the latest windows SDK as well. Windows SDK 2003 was causing a lot of compile errors as well.
