So... What Now?

I'm really good with art, buttons, 3d rendering, 2d art, concept game art, GUIs (I am currently learning the GUI system of Torque Game Engine.). I am really trying to get started with the Torque Game Engine/ Torque Game Engine GUI system. I've been involved in some tutorials lately, figuring out what happens when I try certain things, and learning about different buttons. So lets take it straight to the point. I'm not really the scripting type of person. I know a little about TorqueScript. I can do very BASIC commands. Well actually, I'm learning the scripting that works with the GUIs, not the in-game scripting (what you experience/see as you play the game). So my question is... What now? I don't want to work for anyone online. I'm thinking about having a couple of friends obtain a license. Maybe I do the artwork, they script type deal? Is this worth it? Or should I stick to artwork, increasing my knowledge on Torque in-game & menu screen GUI, concept game art, and 3d objects? Or should I attempt to begin some "one man" type projects. Not big, just small, and add to my very basic database of TorqueScript, along with some artwork skills. Maybe grind out 1 or 2 SIMPLE games. The pro with this option in my opinion is to get a few small projects on my record to show a basic idea of what I am capable of, and then join a friend or two with game making? This won't make me a "n00b" in the gaming industry. Or at least not a big one.

Or really, I would like to hear any other options the community at GG here, what they might have to say.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with making some small personal projects. Just be sure to challenge yourself and have defined goals.
