Best places to find free and royalty free music

Hey all,

I am working on a small game and am lacking one major thing: music. As my funds are rather low and I'm not a musician, I figured I try and find some good, free (or very cheap) music out there. After doing some research, mainly looking in the "Resources" section, I still haven't come up with anything. I've found some free music that's quite good, but, as my game is more of a happy/toony/zanny type, music which might theme the bombing of Pearl Harbor wouldn't quite fit :P

So, I figured I'd ask if anyone else has found any type of collection of songs that sound like what I'm looking for. I'm not asking you to go looking for them, I just figured there might be several people who had been looking for what I need at one time or another and could provide some help.

By the way, I'm not planning on selling it, and I'll be happy to credit the author[s] of the music (just in case there might be some licensing issues).

Any recommendations would be much appreciated,
Daniel

I'd suggest checking out Balu (RainerD).

Good stuff and I *think* I've heard some stuff that would fit your kind of game, though no promises. check it out though :D

I recently ran upon this one that I plan on visiting when I reach that point:

www.indiegamemusic.com/

They have a wide range of styles and some are free others are low-cost. There's a great search feature to help you find what you are looking for.
