Source codes of our games
by Pavel Tovarys · in Torque Game Builder · 01/04/2009 (9:18 am) · 34 replies
Hello,
I decide to publish source codes of our games. I'm not a very good programmer, so the source codes are poor, but maybe somebody will find something usable there.
We published sources codes of ArchMage, Phantasia, Styrateg and one game prototype. Other games will come soon. You can download the sources at blog.rakeingrass.com
Feel free to contact me if you have any question or comment.
Regards,
Tovy..

Ronny: iPhone fan on GG, great ;) We published another smaller game for iPhone - Westbang - a few weeks ago and we plan to publish another two games in a few months (probably in August or September, I will post some info soon).

Hehe, thanks. But I must use the tricks because I have no idea, how to make it better (= like normal programmer:)Ronny: iPhone fan on GG, great ;) We published another smaller game for iPhone - Westbang - a few weeks ago and we plan to publish another two games in a few months (probably in August or September, I will post some info soon).

and that, my friend, is what makes u a good programmer... cuz you come up with clever tricks, even when you dont know the tools to its full extent.

I love your artwork too, it's really high quality.

Also, getting the job done makes you a good programmer. The games work and they're good, so regardless you are good.I love your artwork too, it's really high quality.

Your games are very polished, so I think you could get a nice snowball effect when you have a few out there. Or am I the only one who sees what else a company has made? :O
I recommend looking at Sentinel 2 (just released base defence thing), where they have a special button that opens a presentation screen with all their games. It seems to update realtime. Give your current games an update with a small window that downloads the icon+name+link of your games and creates a presentation dynamically.

Yep, you sent me the beta for Westbang to test on 3.0 :)Your games are very polished, so I think you could get a nice snowball effect when you have a few out there. Or am I the only one who sees what else a company has made? :O

Note also that they were using an old version of Torque 2D to create these. A number of things have changed with the engine since that version.

I'm not sure if Pavel is still looking at this thread any longer. They've had their heads down making great games. Note also that they were using an old version of Torque 2D to create these. A number of things have changed with the engine since that version.

Hi, there is no new game source. I used a very old build of the engine (I think version 1.1). I created the game a few years ago, I'm sorry, but I don't remember how I did it, so I cannot answer the questions.

I'm going to have to get BaK2.

That was pretty much my thought on the source, Pavel. BTW, your new games are looking great!I'm going to have to get BaK2.

You say you aren't a very skilled programmer yet these are pretty darn good!
Dare I even say, slightly jealous lol!
