Barricade Demo New mission??

When I go into the editor mode and press new mission the program crashes. Is there a way to start a new mission with TGEA 1.7 barricade demo?? Please help, DL out.

Hum... that's strange... hit F11 -> click on "File" -> "Open Mission" and choose "newMission".
Then you have a new mission.

I am using Windows XP 64bit version. I have a Geforce 8800 GTS with 640mb ram. I have 8gigs of system memory so Im sure my machine is not the issue. Unless there are some 64bit bugs with TGEA. Is anyone aware of anything? This concerns me a little since my team and I want to use TGEA 1.8 and are in the process of trying to get funding for our project. I dont want a buggy product and TGE has always been nice. If anyone knows anything or has heard of other tgea problems let me know. DL out.

I haven't encountered that problem with TGEA before. It could be specific to the barricade demo. The only issues that I have really had with TGEA were some audio issues, which have been fixed in TGEA 1.8. Other than that TGEA has worked very well for me. I highly suggest it. Especially if you are planning to have any multiplayer functionality. Torque's network functionality is simply the best. Not even unreal can touch it.

If you do purchase a license to TGEA, please take note that TGEA 1.8 is in beta right now and it is a little buggy. It should be officially released here pretty soon(another month maybe?) and will be the most solid version of Torque, yet. I, personally, am greatly looking forward to porting my projects over to it.

Yes I too am very anxious to get my hands on 1.8. I am getting a proposal ready for investors, but a nice demo with our art assets in it would be very helpful as to show off our skills. With the Financial incentives that we have to offer investors its a very safe investment. With that being said we will soon be looking for artists and programmers to join the staff for fulltime in house positions. I will post in the forums when that time comes. DL out.

Try dowloading the newest version of nvidia Physx if that helps, it could since when i downloaded the "driving test" game made by tge it crashed on loading the lvl. Now it doesn't.
