Hey new user im thinking of getting tgea an was wondering about which 3d suite to use. I have Maya an that latest version of blender. I do like blender an have use it in the past but was wondering if i shold switch completely to maya scince it has the hair ncloth an fur. is maya really better for making a high detail an altogether pretty models, or could i make just as good models in blender
thanks for you help ,Ty Icepaws.

Completely agree with Joseph. Don't base your decision on a cloth simulator or hair and fur as I don't think you can get these things into Torque (could be wrong about the fur stuff). Like Joseph said, if you have both you might as well use them. I have heard that people prefer Maya when it comes to animation but that they actually prefer to construct their static mesh in another program.

Blender has a really good dts exporter with the best available support, thanks to Joseph Greenawalt ;) and all the tools you could need/use to build models for TGEA. Crossplatform, open source and free as it is, I think it is just the best option out there for you, further more if you are already accustomed to it and you like it...

About the fur, you can get realtime fur in TGE (I've posted a resource about this too), you'd need some changes in the source though. I'm sure it can be ported to TGEA as well with a bit of effort.
