I loaded up the stronghold game, loaded stronghold mission, then hit f11 and did new mission.
Once in the new mission I clicked save mission as and gave it a brand new unused name and when trying to save I get that the missionfile is read only, even though it doesn't exist.
But I can save over any existing mission, any ideas on why this is?

No using Windows XP, made sure the entire directory had read only unchecked. I get the same exact problem on 1.7 and 1.8.

We think we have a proper fix for this which will be in the next TGEA 1.8 Beta.

I created a new mission, and saved it to my home directory. I get the message:
Mission file "/Users/erlebach/...../newMission.mis" is read-only.
Any help would be appreciated. It would be a shame for this to be a show stopper. Thank you.

I have the same problem on my MacBook Pro. I am writing into a writeable location. All my files are at least rw. I must got an instructor's version of the code two weeks ago. I created a new mission, and saved it to my home directory. I get the message:
Mission file "/Users/erlebach/...../newMission.mis" is read-only.
Any help would be appreciated. It would be a shame for this to be a show stopper. Thank you.
