Has anyone incorporated the iPhone keyboard into their game?

We're very interested in that as well. For our first game we created our own keyboard, and graphically it is really cool, but for our next game I think the Apple keyboard will be better.

It is my hope that GG will build hooks to the Apple keyboard into iTGB, so I can stay as far away from Xcode and C as reasonably possible, at least for the first few games.

I guess making it yourself is the way to go.
I wanted to avoid it, but now that you've mentioned graphically appealing keyboard I think it may be a good idea.

Creating custom keyboards from scratch might be more visually appealing, and the theme would be more fitting in your game, but of course having the default Apple keyboard at our disposal is a good thing.

You can add the iPhone keyboard to iTGB using this resource: iPhone Keyboard in iTGB

v1.2 will ship with this as a stock feature.

Michael,

Might seem a bit off-topic, but when is v1.2 coming out? And what added features / bug fixes are going to be included?

Michael said the builder will be smoother to work with, bugs fixed, and direct launching to the simulator seemed to be finished yesterday :)
He also mentioned PVR as a step in the process, which I really hope happens. We would not need to leave the editor at all to piece together our games.
