Hi gang. I have alot done on my game cracklepop, but would love to now partner up with an artist to finish it. I read that getting an artist early on was often a bad idea since much of the game can be done with the programming underneath first, without boring your artist. In any case.. I have a couple videos below which show some very early levels, and show some of the gameplay.
Hopefully you look at this and say: "wow, that nic is sure a terrible artist, I have some great ideas for some levels!"
The ideal artist will:
1)have a good vision about how to direct the look/feel of the game.
2)center all decisions around FUN!
3)send samples of work. This can be scetches, designs, nothing fancy needed
4)be willing to put in a couple hrs or so a day. I work on the project a couple hrs a day after work.
Did I mention it has an online componant?!
The videos below represent different ideas, and phases in development.
