How do I create a delay between code?

by Bo Powell · in Torque Game Builder · 11/06/2008 (3:25 pm) · 5 replies

I want to, say, increase somethings speed, and then 5 seconds later, I want the speed to go back to normal.

How do I create the 5 second delay, in between my speed modifiers?

Yes, well google is only useful if you know what to search. Same for the TDN. :x

Thanks, though, for the quick reply.

Though, what's the correct use of schedule'd have been nice, as now I have to search...

Get used to searching its how we learn. Also don't pretend like those of us who help don't know you didn't search ;)

For example: "delay" would have been a fine search for this question.

Also searching for "schedule()" would help with gain the second info you needed in less time than it took to modify your post to ask for that info.

I'll give you two free passes though while you get the hang of it ;)

Ok, well ya' know what...I'll give you that, cause I didn't think about the GarageGames search thinger. Also, I do search before I post, so you're wrong there. In your first post you stated google is my friend, well google doesn't come up with much for TGB/GarageGames/TDN. ;)

And thanks, again for your post...Assuming I can get the function to work. -.-

Google is choosy :)

Use the site trick if you're searching a specific site; enter search terms as "site:garagegames.com keywords". Not that it's necessary, with the site already being Google-powered, but it's handy for other niche sites.
