Needed some tutorial focusing on Houdini-Torque

I think would be really usefull to see around some tutorial focused on the HOUDINI-&-TORQUE couple...

Something like all the current step you need to successfully export from Houdini to Torque... It is not simple to figure out how it works, even the video on vimeo is a bit too quickly and many things seems leaved to imagination or indeed knowledge of the watcher...

At least this seems to me... I know Houdini is a big and professional tool and require time to learn it but some facilitation would be wellcome ;-)

I'm sure Houdini will be my darling but sadly it's a bit difficult to get my hand dirty with it

:-(

From my side I would be happy to pay some money to have a nice set of Houdini+Torque tutorials, really don't know if I'm the only one or this would be a profitable thing...

Have you opened any of the "Example" files that accompany the Help feature within HD? There are some really good examples of the exportable features included with the install. The free videos at Buzz3D.com are informative on the UI and the various workflows through the program. I think there is even a very complete Character Rigging set of DVD's for getting that toolshelf producing...

Tnx Rex.

It's a bit strange but unfortunately I cannot see the free tuts on Buzz3D ... When I try to start a video an "action script error window" of Flash Player 10 comes up...

Anyway what I hope is that as time will pass some tutorial more centrated on Houdini&Torque will come...

But I have to say I've not spended yet big time in learning Houdini (too many things to do! eheheh) and maybe this is my main problem... But anyway if some shortways will come they will be wellcome as always... :-P

Wanted to let you know that I have been having discussions with guys over at Digital Tutors about creating a DVD series on using Torque and Houdini together. I will let you know how that goes.

Derek, this is really nice news for me and for many people I think !

Tnx for this.

It's fantastic how you guys stay looking and hearing at what the community needs... :-)

I'm very happy to caught this occasion to say that in the last 1 year and 1/2 the support GG is giving to the community has really increased a lot! :-)

@Derek - any word on that DVD series on Torque-Houdini. Anything ever materialize?

I would be astonished if that idea came to fruition. I assume there would not be much of a 'call' for such a product. However, a broad spectrum overview of "3d-and-torque" included with the aforementioned scope may make the idea more palatable.
