Sticky corners bug, any workarounds?

by Nic Biondi · in Torque Game Builder · 11/01/2008 (1:30 pm) · 4 replies

There is a sticky corner bug that seems to have been introduced possibly with the ticked physics change. I'm sure I'm not the only one to have this problem.. as all you have to do is make an object run over a corner of some kind and get stuck. Heres my test video showing the issue:

ANY thoughts on this gang?
thanks!

Nic,

I thought this one was solved, obviously not. I can only offer my apologies for that.

Is it possible for you to supply me with the whole project for the above video or equivalent that we can use to communicate to fix this bug once and for all time?

FYI: I am all over the big list of bugs in our internal system at the moment and whilst I was surfing the bug reports I came across this post. I'll give it a priority if you can get me that project ASAP.

Thanks!

Also, please feel free to communicate offline with me on that address about this bug. I'll report back here when it's fixed.

I submitted the fix for this to Nic yesterday and he has just sent me an email this morning reporting that after playing with it for a while now it seems that the fix has completely resolved the issue.

I am happy to send fix to those who are experiencing similar problems.

Yes, Melv is my hero! I am a very happy camper as my ball is rolling propertly now! What a breath of fresh air.

Melv fixed two bugs I was seeing.. one was a sticky corners bug, and the other happened when rolling on a sloped surface.

Sweet pie!
