Eye Node

My question pertains to the eye node used to identify camera placement in characters. The game that I am working on is an Isometric (top down) turn based game. As the characters in the game are functionally similar to those in an RTS, is the Eye node required for export, or can I just skip it (the camera will never go into the first person)?.
