Seeking Team Members for Zombie FPS

www.cfor.co.uk/gg_img/logo.pngWe're currently seeking people to join up with us to work on our game - ZDay, it's a multiplayer First Person shooter with the emphasis on Survival elements as zombies try and tear you apart. It won't be a total frag fest like games such as Call of Duty, in this game you must play strategically with others to stay alive.

Finer details of the intended functionality can be found in the Design Document, you can also have a look at our website over at http:www.zdaygame.com where we have just over 1500 members now and an active little community on the forums.

Unfortunately the embedded YouTube feature doesn't work with certain characters so instead I'll have to post a couple of URLs to the Video footage of the game:

- This first one is from 3 months ago now, bear in mind we've since upgraded to TGEA (hopefully a new video or screenshots coming soon). uk.youtube.com/watch?v=_BwmufYNW3I

- This second one is a little older (around 6 months), but shows the zombies moving about and attacking - the game has come a long way since then. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=4PzTMEadYRE

We've currently just upgraded from TGE to TGEA - with just a couple of minor issues left to resolve and obviously a lot of work still to do to get shaders, normal maps, etc all defined.

This is an unpaid position, primarily we are working on this to learn and have not decided yet whether the final product will be released as a free download or for payment - if it's decided that the game will be sold then the profits will be split fairly amongst everyone that has contributed to the game (so the more work people put in the more they'd get back again).

We currently have the following team structure:

1x Project Lead
1x Designer
1x Coder (me!!)
5x Artists

19x Testers - mostly community members who have signed up on an NDA and who are represented by a Testing Lead that attends our development meetings to coordinate them all

4x Public Relations - They act as part of the design team, collecting ideas & feedback from the community. They also promote the ZDay site, building upon our community (hence how we've already 1500 members).

We are looking for more Coders as a main priority but also Artists as their is still of lot of models to be produced.

Our development process goes in small cycles, a cycle is defined, worked upon and then released for testing - this allows us to constantly refine the game as we go along and helps keep everyone focused as we can constantly see progress being made.

@Andrew - well there's a lot of artwork still to be done as with any game of this scale, so although there's 5 guys working on it it's all in their spare time so the more hands the better in my opinion. If you'd be interested then please drop a message here or email me at redrolo (at) hotmail (dot) com

@Daniel - Will send an email whizzing it's way over to you shortly.

As ever we're on the hunt for new members to join the team, we're looking for - Coders, Artists, Designers, Composers, etc if you're interested and have time to offer we'd love to hear from you.

You can see more details on the recent blog www.garagegames.com/community/blogs/view/16707

The screenshots don't display too well on the new forums (they get cut off) but here's a couple anyway so you get an idea of the dark eerie feel we're looking for.
