The next update

by Jojo · in iTorque 2D · 10/21/2008 (9:43 am) · 70 replies

Hi guys

I am a little bit frustrated. I paid 750 $ for an engine which i can not work with. I must copy that code in this file and rename this order and .... . This is not a nice workflow. This is a cheek to pay 750 $ for the engine (1 Frame per second on the iPhone)!!!! It is very friendly that Michael Perry spend his freetime for us. But why is garagegames not hire more people to work for iTGB? Some of us have a time schedule for their project. And with this engine you can not plan. Please tell us when the update will come, we are all waiting for.

Thanks to all people who are working hard on iTGB.

Greetings

Jojo

@Eyal - Cool, thanks for the offer. I'll post a new thread about the app when I make significant progress, but the thread in the FO3 forums will get the most updates. I'm treating it like my own blog for this project.

Version 1.1 is up. A blog will be posted over the weekend or on Monday. I had to stop working on docs to QA and package the installers. So I'm going to continue writing docs over the weekend and while I'm on vacation.

Please post 1.1 feedback in this thread.

As the thread is still locked: the install does not work.
Crashes directly on OSX 10.5.6

Hmmm, I see the thread as being unlocked.

So you download the .zip, unpack it, and try and run the .app? Then you get a crash? Let me have a look.

Jeez...they just released that a few days ago, didn't they? I'm going to test the installer on 10.5.5 first, then update and test on 10.5.6.

Alright, anyone opposed to just using a plain ol' zip file for distribution?

If thats what it takes to get it working for now ; )

(Installer crashed on 10.5.6, same as Marc).

Great to see the updates (almost) out for xmas!

I've no probs with zip, normally leave less trash for hazel to clean ;)
also as I likely will modify the sources I'm forced to have it outside the app folder anyway so a zip is simpler actually :)

New download up for the Mac guys. Please let us know if you have any issues in the iTGB 1.1 Feedback thread. Sorry for the hassle with the previous installer. Also, don't hesitate to let us know the good news with this update too. So far we're seeing up to 300% fps improvements for script heavy games.
