About Mesh Engine of TGE and TGEA

Hi,

I am considering to buy TGE or TGEA.

The main work i am doing is to realize the puppeteer function. I want to control each joint of the character, so the character can realize different poses, like playing Kongfu.

Based on the feature introduction of TGE and TGEA, both can perform this function through Mesh Engine.

However, I find that TGE seems only support Rigidshape function, can not control the single joint. I also can not find further information about mesh engine in TGEA. I am not sure whether both can really satisfy my needs or not. It seems that TGE should integrate other physics engine to perform some complex physics actions.

Could anyone help to tell me which one is appropriate to buy? if both can, I will buy TGE indie, for money saving. :)

Many thanks
Peter

Puppeteer is a fancy marketing name for boned and blended animations. I do not believe that you have the fine-grained control that you are wanting without implementing a third-party physics solution.
