Reference image scale

Hi all..
I'm working with reference images scanned in at 300 dpi using 1/35 scale mapped to reference planes. The system units are set to 1 unit = 0.003 metres and the "Measure Distance" tool returns reasonable results.
From recent posts (World unit size - setup), it seems that the DTS exporter ignores this and assumes 1 unit = 1 metre.
Is there a good way to handle the mismatch?
thanks!

So Set your Units to 1unit = 1 metre.
You will need to scale your Reference image up to the new units
which by my calculations should be 33333.34%. This will not affect
anything negatively because you will not be exporting the reference
image.

You will want to create you geometry at the correct units. So Set your Units to 1unit = 1 metre.

Ok.. thanks for your help!

I reset the system units back to 1 unit = 1m then loaded the max file. The app recognized the difference between the two scale settings and prompted me to rescale or adopt the file units. I rescaled and the model was loaded as a very small spec at the world origin, but on zooming in it appears to be scaled correctly (i pulled in a scale bar from the original scan to make the comparison easier).
Maybe there's a better way, but this seems to do for now.
