Exist some Port of RTSKIT for TGEA 1.7?

Hi, i am planning a rts like game.
I think that the development of the game take to me aprox. 2 years, so i think that i will be use TGEA because the better graphics.
So, i dont know, i am a novice with TGE, and C++ (i am a C# and ASP - ASP.NET web programmer):
1. Use TGE + RTSKIT and wait for a (maybe) graphics update?
2. Use TGEA + RTSKIT port resource (if exist...)
wath you think?
thanks.

To be the bluntly honest one I bought the RTS kit when it came out, it is far from advertised and really missing a lot of core important RTS elements. It will more then likely only frustrate you

The kit has been always controversial, its currently unsupported and has some other lacks, but missing a lot of core important RTS elements? No, I dont think so.
On the contrary, I think the kit bring an indispensible approach to the Torque way of making RTS functionalities. In fact almost all the demanded features (not included in the kit) are highly dependant on specific implementations, making those features very difficult (if not impossible) to include in an "Starter Kit" model.
That beeing said, not one from the advertised capabilities are missing, so I found your words rather excesive. The hostility to the kit its somehow understable, it needs some heavy polishing, and some things are broken, but in general its an awesome approach to the Torque way of making an RTS features core set.

@J Sears, I disagree.The kit has been always controversial, its currently unsupported and has some other lacks, but missing a lot of core important RTS elements? No, I dont think so.

My honest opinion is he would be very upset if he spent money on that kit.

That can be your opinion, but most of the people who bought that kit felt pretty let down to put it nicely, scammed is more how I felt.My honest opinion is he would be very upset if he spent money on that kit.

However, I persist in the idea of the kit as an excellent scaffold for -at minium- focus on how can be the core elements of an RTS, done in Torque. There are some hours of work in there, from guys who know Torque almost like not any other person; that alone is almost indispensable for study, even if you end not using one line of code.
And I can't argue that is rather buggy, but I love it anyway :o)

Of course, I totally respect that you may be dissapointed, and you are right on sharing that. Time ago I mounted a census to know such things as what you guys think about the kit.However, I persist in the idea of the kit as an excellent scaffold for -at minium- focus on how can be the core elements of an RTS, done in Torque. I would recommend to start working with the current kit, gain experience and became proficient with the current code... and wait for news.
