*Un-usability of Level Builder*
Launch tgb/Torque Game Builder.app
The mouse jumps far down+right with every click, making the UI totally unusable
*Preferences | Design Resolution*
Is set to 800x600?
*Scene appearance*
Level builder does not appear in iphone aspect ratio 320x480?
*Open Project fails*
Open project games/BehaviorShooter_iPhone/project.t2dProj fails
*Build Project menu*
There is no iphone build shown; just Mac and Win.
Well I am going to start reading the scripts and platform source, to see what I can learn, but first impressions are - this is a real bummer iTGB is not going to be usable for me, yet. At least I can keep working in 1.7.4; I have a lot of work to do anyways.

Also, I appreciate you passing on my suggestions and concerns to those in a position to help with #1 and #3.
Grateful for docs,
Andrew

Michael, thanks for your support in the forums, answering questions and keeping us at least a little in the loop. Okay, so every other day might be a little excessive, but I was assuming that full docs were still rather far off, and assuming you were working on them everyday then frequent releases would seem quite reasonable. Glad to hear they are much further along than I suspected. Also, I appreciate you passing on my suggestions and concerns to those in a position to help with #1 and #3.
Grateful for docs,
Andrew

Quick Update: iTGB 1.0.1 has passed through QA. The final step is generating user documentation, which I'm working on right now.

Michael - That's great news, really looking forward to this release. Tell those slave-drivers at Garage Games that you deserve an assistant, and a fort twice as big as Deborah's.

Team effort! The reason you see me posting more than most is because this kind of activity is key to me doing my job: writing documentation. If I don't keep a finger on the community pulse to see what you think is lacking, how can I know what you want? =)

@Conor - Thanks for the compliments, but I have to stress again that I'm part of a team. I'm not actually performing any development. Paul Foster and his team are the developer muscle behind the project, and they've been working patiently with us to make sure every detail is taken care of. Ken Holst is the QA guru that I'm taking my cues from. Of course, you all know Brett Seyler, and he is holding the project together and guiding both sides.Team effort! I can't wait to actually find out what gestures and other iphone goodies are supported and how to script for them! I am also very curious about where we can write and read files from in iTGB.
Thanks again to the whole team!

Hey Michael, our thanks to you and please pass our thanks to the developers as well for getting this done. Good luck with the docs, and I hope you will have the time to be thorough about the process of setup and building and compiling etc, for those of us who use a tool like TGB so we can stay away from those things as much as possible ;-)I can't wait to actually find out what gestures and other iphone goodies are supported and how to script for them! I am also very curious about where we can write and read files from in iTGB.

Apparently, the difference between deploying on the simulator and deploying on the device is fairly trivial once you get the routine down. Once I get that, I'll write a new tutorial. So, I focused on writing other docs for iTGB over the weekend.
Btw, I'm very very very very happy right now. Keep an eye out for a new blog from Brett.

Just to let everyone know, I just got my iPhone developer license and key. Something was wrong with my registration over the weekend. This made it impossible to write my own tutorial for getting your game on the actual device. However, I was able to read through the docs they have online and they look pretty reliable and straight forward.Apparently, the difference between deploying on the simulator and deploying on the device is fairly trivial once you get the routine down. This means you will not be seeing "every other day" updates to the documentation. That's just unrealistic for my work load. I will get user documentation out the door with 1.0.1, but after that I will be integrating iTGB into my normal schedule of once (sometimes twice) monthly updates.
As for #1, I'll have to see if someone from the iTGB dev team can answer.
