To All Utah Area Indies,
Okay, it's time again to announce another Indie Games Night. It will be held on Thursday October 23rd at 7pm at the Ninjabee Offices in Orem. Thanks again to Ninjabee for hosting this. Email me if you need directions to get there.
The format will be as we've done in the past, an informal get together to chat, eat pizza, talk about the industry, see what others are doing, show off your current project and get feedback, etc. Please bring some cash to chip in for the pizza and munchies, if you can.
If you have a demo to show please let me know before hand, so we can plan on it better. We'll start out with a formal presentation, and then, we'll be doing the rest in an informal "expo style", as in the past. Also, if you have any other questions, suggestions, announcements, or something you think that would benefit the group, please let me know. This should be an enjoyable and worth while night for everyone. I hope to see everyone there!

I would give my usual spiel about moving away right before I found out about this, but I bet you're getting tired of it =P

Houssen, I won't be able to put one on in Australia, but you could. If you build it, they will come. ;)

You could host it where ever you wanted. I've seen some groups meet at a library, some at a favorite restaurant. It's wide open. It's just a matter of finding who's out there and seeing what they'd be interested in doing, and then making it happen. We started our group about 3 years ago with just eleven guys getting together just to meet each other. It just grew from there. Australia is a big place and it might be a bit hard for some guys to come to a meeting that is clear across the country. You may want to focus a bit more local to start with. Also our group isn't Torque focused, it's open to anyone interested in indie games. The group would be much smaller if we limited it to just Torque users.Good Luck!

We had a great event Thursday night! We had about 32 people show up; it was an awsome evening! Here's a couple of writeups about the evening (for those that are interested).www.rampantgames.com/blog/2008/10/utah-indie-game-night-fall-2008.html
