3ds model milkshape animation dsq???

I have a model that our team made in 3ds max. I have a 3ds file which I can import into ms3d. It imports textured nicely. I want to add bones and animate it. Can I use milkshape to add bones and animation and somehow still use the same dsq files or certain dsq files?

Basically, i have a model meshed out and textured. Whats the next step?

Here's the basic steps:

Create a biped that matches the default player biped (same number of arm links, leg links, etc).

Then use the skin modifier to attach the biped to the model. Add the modifier and then click "add bone" and add the biped bones.

Now you have to adjust the weight envelopes so the models deforms correctly when the bones move. Red is alot of effect, blue is little effect. You'll see what I mean in the skin modifier roll out.

Then you can animate :)

I'm sorry, I missed the part about Milkshape :(

I know nothing about it, other than it's confusing as hell to me.
