Smoth or DTS ?

by ATW · in Constructor · 09/15/2008 (7:48 am) · 2 replies

My Target is TGE and my plan was to build my tree / large plants like modules in Constructor. I got it all built and and started messing with the smooth scale and I could get a few of the brushes to smooth to the next brush but over all I couldn't get them to smooth like I was expecting them too.

If any one has some really good information on how to smooth in constructor I am all ears?

If this is a unreachable task than I was going to look into building my modules as DTS and load up in Constructor and using the Collision Brushes around the DTS that is going to be backed into the DIF. I really didn't want to do this was hoping that the smooth would work a little better.

Will this work?
Will Shadows be a factor here?
Any other complications I may come across?

Thanks

I would really recommend doing complex objects like trees as DTS's.

Isn't a real tree it is a large round bass that has 4 - 6 large leaves spanning from it.. not earth trees. but I got smooth to work would any one know why setting smooth to 0 would make TGE so slow to look at DIF.
