DEBUG_NET directive is broken in the latest HEAD

The DEBUG_NET directive is broken in the latest HEAD revision. If you put DEBUG_NET in your compiler directive, then some files cannot compile at all due to compilation erros. At first glance, it is related to the new net code introduced in the HEAD revision.
