I am starting out my dream of being a game tester and am looking for opportunities to get started i have been looking around at some of the major companies and asking people I know that game test some of the newest and best games that have come out and are coming out sometime soon and they gave me this site and said to try and start here if i lov playing games. So here I am I play alot of games anytime I have the chance to and if I can put that ability I like doing and put it to use helping some developers find bugs and glitches so there game can be even better and get paid to do something like this that would be a dream come true.So please if anyone out there is willing to give me a chance to get my dream career underway it would be greatly appreciated.

Learn the technical aspect of game design. Developers like feedback that describes the bug as accurately as possible. This can only be done if you have some basic understanding of what's going on under the hood.
Use proper grammar and spelling. Game testing is a field that requires excellent communication skills. HR people will be looking to see if you have a strong grasp on English.
Beta test existing games. Doing a quick Google search will yield many results for games that are currently open to beta testing. Play some of these and compile a list of bugs/issues. You can use this to build up a portfolio you can later present to game companies.
