Cant open the buggy.max or crossbow.max file

by Reidar Arnesen · in Artist Corner · 08/29/2008 (10:18 am) · 4 replies

Ive got alot set up for my fps game, but i want to use the buggy that follows with the engine. Its main purpose is to see how they rigged it in max. So later i can make a tank with different mount posisions.

I can place the buggy and such, but i cant enter it. Iam sure its missing a mount0 node.
Is there anyone who has got a working buggy model in 3d max 9 32bit.

Someone should upload fixed versions.

(Files are located at:
TGE_1_5_2\example\starter.racing\data\shapes\buggy
TGE_1_5_2\example\starter.fps\data\shapes\crossbow)

Actually I have updated and uploaded the fixes, long ago, and posted it numerous times in fact (here's the download since you probably won't have any luck finding the files via the search function). Just waiting on GG to actually place them in the SVN repo.

Thank you very much Logan :)

You wouldnt happend to know the limitations of the bounding box?

Ive made a ship but its 135m long and a bounding box L:135mW:18mH:20m.
when I place it in the torque editor it crashes, if i reduce the bounding box to L:60W:18mH:20m it works fine.

I can scale the model in Torque but then my character gets scaled as well if he mounts the ship.
