It runs on all platforms, is free, and is much easier to learn and use than blender. Downside, no animation, and a weak texturing system. I would just use it for 3d modeling if I were you.

Try downloading Wings 3d. It runs on all platforms, is free, and is much easier to learn and use than blender. Downside, no animation, and a weak texturing system. I would just use it for 3d modeling if I were you.

Your profile means you are new, so let me explain a few things:
A to put 3d models into your game, you need a 3d modeller that has the ability to export as a .DTS file, otherwise it won't work.
@Kevin
Look into Houdini rather then Blender, it has nice texturing system, and it probably has the best animation system for any modeler.
I would say that you should do this:
Use Blender for making the objects, it is easier then Houdini.
Use Houdini for animation and texturing, it is really good.

Hmm, Houdini is used for texturing? I didn't know. So If I save a .blend file with Blender I can import it into Houdini?

Also I'm looking for a not so expensive Texture Painting softwear:
Zbrush- Too expensive
Deep Paint 3d - Too expensive
Anyone out there with a solution?

I'm actually looking into Truespace since its free now. Plus I cant sale any of my models i make in Houdini. I might still use blender for models but I want to see how easy true space is to grasp. Also isn't there an export tool for Truespace?Also I'm looking for a not so expensive Texture Painting softwear:

Im Using Adobe CS2 now. But I thought there might be a 3d painting app somewhere out there that allows you to paint with texture, Adobe use to have where you could paint with patters or an image using the paint brush bot i cant find that anymore in the new versions

The only exporting program I've found for Truespace is Ultimate Unwrap. Other people have mentioned Milkshape as well.

That looks like a lot of hats to wear. Once you've programmed a gameplay prototype that you can show people, you might be able to get someone else to take some of that off your hands.

But, yeah, I think you've covered your bases.
